Trump Takes Drugs to Keep His Hair from Falling Out?...and other fun stuff

In case anybody tells you Trump raw dogging a porn star is "fake news", you might mention that Stormy has taken and passed a polygraph test and Trump hasn't. The Miami Herald has  Some suggestions for Trump.

Trump claims he doesn't have a history of heart disease, he just takes drugs that are recommended for people who have a history of heart disease. What he does have is a history of eating crappy food. Trumps medications explained (What we have been told so far)

Trump has installed his son in law, Jared Kushner, into sensitive positions and negotiations on behalf of the US government. But there's a problem. Kushner can't get a Security Clearance.

“The unprecedented delay in clearance represents a violation of security norms and suggests that Kushner continues to receive special treatment due to his relationship to President Trump.
No shit?
You want to know what else it suggests? It suggests that the FBI sees Jared Kushner as too crooked, too big a risk, to be trustworthy.
Of course Trump tweets Dems caved in his government shutdown, but lets take notice of a few things. Trump was holding children's healthcare (CHIP) hostage and contingent on getting $18 billion in tax payer money for his worthless wall that he had promised Mexico would pay for.  Well now that the smoke has cleared it turns out that DEMS got CHIP and Trump didn't get his wall. It remains to be seen whether Republicans remain true to their unspeakably cruel intention to break up families of hardworking people who were brought to this country as children but have not had any problems, pay taxes, and contribute to this nation in every way possible, including many who currently serve in the military.

Lamar Let's the World Know Supreme Court Justice Gorsuch is a GOP Plant

I enjoyed having dinner tonight at the home of Senator John Cornyn and his wife Sandy with our newest Supreme Court Justice, Neil Gorsuch, Transportation Secretary Chao and a few of my other Senate colleagues to talk about important issues facing our country.

The issues of the day are most definitely not what a Supreme Court justice should be discussing with Republican congressional leadership. And that they had this clearly political and social get together the evening before the Supreme Court announced it will expedite considering the Trump administration’s request to overturn a judge’s ruling and allow the Trump administration to dismantle the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. Only the most pressing issue of the day. Which Gorsuch should now have to recuse himself from.
Gorsuch Should now recuse himself from the DACA case currently before the court

Quotes of the Day from the Fusion GPS investigation:

Quotes of the Day from the Fusion GPS investigation:

"So we did things like we looked at the golf courses and whether they actually ever made any money and how much debt they had. We looked at the bankruptcies, how could somebody go through so many bankruptcies, you know, and still have a billion dollars in personal assets."

“I will get Putin on this program and we will get Donald elected,” Mr. Sater wrote.

"As it happens, Felix Sater was, you know, connected to the same Russian crime family"

So shutting down the government and blaming Democrats because they won't waste $18 billion on a wall is just a diversion from Trump's Putin problem.

It's time to get the Russian pawn out of the office of the Presidency!

GOP operative Bill Krystal: "...Trump’s just flipping out.”

Richard Painter, chief White House ethics lawyer under President George W. Bush, said, regarding Trump's comments about North Korea, “This Tweet alone is grounds for removal from office under the 25th Amendment. This man should not have nukes.”

Donald Trump tweeted that he holds the power to suddenly send the USA into thermonuclear war with an irritating but meaningless country in Asia because he wants to prove his "button" is bigger.

So even GOP operatives are freaking out over Trump's dangerous mental instability but what are Republican Senators doing about it?

The Lying...Make It Stop!

How do you tell when Putin Pawn Trump is lying?

When President Trump signed the $1.5 trillion tax cut bill on Friday at the White House, he made a bold claim — that his "legislative approvals" were off the charts. "No. 1 in the history of our country," he said, citing 88 as the number of bills he had signed into law.

It was 96, actually, possibly the only time in history Putin's pawn Trump has under exaggerated his claim to magnificence.  But it didn't take long for him to get to another whopper of a lie...

"Harry Truman had more legislative approvals than any other president and — a record long held," Trump said. "And we beat him on legislative approvals, for which I get no credit."
The Truman Library called Trump out:
We don't have an exact figure handy, but around 240-250. According to Statutes at Large, Congress passed 292 bills in that session. Subtracting from January-April, minus few vetoes, gets to that figure.

NPR has the entire list of Bills that Trump has signed.. Unfortunately they list them by title rather than what they actually do. Republicans are notorious for giving grandiose titles to things that destroy America's middle class.

Trump is the Russian President...Why Isn't This THE Headline Every Day on Every News Program?

Voters, those who were not turned back from the polls on election day, voted for Hillary Clinton by 3 million votes over Donald Trump.

The January intelligence assessment implied that the Russian hackers had achieved broader access than has been assumed. Without elaborating, the report said the Russians had “obtained and maintained access to multiple U.S. state and local election boards.”

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/09/01/us/politics/russia-election-hacking.html

Apart from the Russian influence campaign intended to undermine Mrs. Clinton and other Democratic officials, the impact of the quieter Russian hacking efforts at the state and county level has not been widely studied. Federal officials have been so tight-lipped that not even many election officials in the 21 states the hackers assaulted know whether their systems were compromised, in part because they have not been granted security clearances to examine the classified evidence.

This is a national emergency! Why are we holding back?

A call for investigation of Russian involvement in electing Donald Trump should be the first thing out of every progressive politician's mouth at every opportunity.

Is It Time to Sell Your Healthcare Stocks?

Insurance companies have ceased to be useful. They are merely gatekeepers between the working providers of healthcare services and the people who need care. It's time to destroy the health insurance model that has grown so obscenely obese more resembling a parasite than anything useful in American society. Hospitals have more people performing administrative duties and processing insurance forms than they have doctors and nurses.

Pharmaceutical companies have become tools for capital speculators. The price of prescription drugs rises, not due to the cost of production, but relative to how much the market can pay to stay alive. Big Pharma lobbyists spend millions bribing our legislators, congressmen and senators to keep cannabis illegal, reaping billions in excess profits as a result.

It's time for a revolution in our healthcare system.

The GOP Does It and NO, Dems DON"T Do It Too...

I admire a good thought well expressed. Leonard Pitts has lots of them in this article. I conclude that there is a shortage of "Fair Observers"...
A party that once provided a sober conservative counterweight to the Democrats’ more liberal impulses has flat out lost its mind, given itself over to rage, fear, schoolyard taunts and bizarre conspiracy theories. Which leaves me impatient with those who frame our political divide as if the issue were that left and right had equally abandoned the center. No fair observer can believe that.

We all know how they got that way: voter suppression, gerrymandering, obstruction, religious fanaticism, and the non-stop construction and maintenance of a pile of Big Lies that Jon Stewart famously called "Bullshit Mountain,"

It's All Right HERE

Chuck Flieschmann just voted to allow people who are under investigation by the FBI for Treason to keep their security clearance.

Chuck Flieschmann just voted to allow people who are under investigation by the FBI for Treason to keep their security clearance.

"The measure would have barred the government from issuing or maintaining a security clearance for any White House individual “under a criminal investigation by a Federal law enforcement agency for aiding a foreign government.”

I can't believe I am actually typing those words. More importantly, I can;t believe I am the one bring this to you instead of every national media outlet going off in second coming type.

How low has the GOP sunk?

The Good News is Trump Support in TN at 38%...But...

How in the name of sanity is this possible?
A poll conducted by the Office of Consumer Research at Middle Tennessee State University’s Jones College of Business reports that the surveyed Tennesseans trust President Donald Trump a bit more than Gov. Bill Haslam.
Could this be the answer?

Democrats place higher trust in mainstream media outlets (ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC) than do Republicans, whereas Republicans have a relatively higher level of trust in Fox News.

Some Kind of Tipping Point Here: Is Trump Mobster or a Dictator

Clipped from The New Republic piece:

It was perhaps inevitable that Trump would run into conflict with the likes of Comey, Bharara, and Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates (whom Trump also fired, after she refused to defend his executive order banning people from seven Muslim-majority countries). Trump supporters might dismiss these figures as Washington insiders—inhabitants of “the swamp”—but they are more accurately seen as representatives of the legal and administrative state. They are all experts in the law and bureaucracy; they know the rules, understand why the rules exist, and enforce them. In other words, they are the polar opposite of Trump, an anti-professional to whom laws were meant to be broken.

Note to America...Donald Trump is Dangerously Delusional, at Best...

How do you explain this statement from Donald Trump?

“Dems are taking forever to approve my people,” the president said in a statement he released on Twitter Monday morning. “They are nothing but OBSTRUCTIONISTS! Want approvals.”

When Trump took office, about half of all Federal Prosecutors resigned. Attorney General Sessions fired the rest of them when he was approved by Congress. That was several months ago. To date, not one Federal Prosecutor position has been filled. Trump blames democrats for obstructing his nominees.

The New York Times:

The problem is, the Democrats couldn’t obstruct any United States attorney nominations if they wanted to because Mr. Trump has not made any.

Face it....We have a seriously messed up man in the Oval Office!

"Secret" Documents Prove Trump Lied When He Claimed There Was "NO Evidence" of Russia Helping Him Win Election

I think we, as Americans, have to fave up to the fact that this is a threat to the very idea of America as a Democracy:

In addition to being the strongest indication so far that Russia interfered in the U.S. election, the document also indicates that Russian hackers may have "penetrated further into U.S. voting systems than was previously understood," The Intercept, which first published the document, reported.

The intelligence community determined in 2016 that there was ample evidence of Russian interference in the election, and that Russian president Vladimir Putin was directly involved. The intelligence community also concluded that Putin specifically chose to help candidate Trump at the cost of Hillary Clinton and to cast her in an unfavorable light.

Woman Who Leaked Information on Russians Hacking Presidential Election Arrested

I'll ask the question everybody else is tip toeing around..."What happens if we get incontrovertible proof that Russia threw the election to Trump?"
"Though the report does not draw any conclusions on whether the cyberattack influenced the outcome of the election, it is the first piece of evidence that has come to light that not only did Russian hackers meddle in the 2016 election by stealing and distribute damaging campaign communications, but also went after America’s election infrastructure itself. The document also undermines Russian President Vladimir Putin’s recent assertion that allegations his government interfered in the U.S. political process are a “fiction.”"

Let's Face It...We Have a President Gone Rogue!

If Republicans didn't control all three houses of United States government, several Trump administration players would already be under indictment.

Here's a rundown of the Russian connections, which tread dangerously close to acts of treason from what we know already. Who knows what we'll uncover as we go forward...

Hacker, Banker, Soldier, Spy: A Guide to the Key Players in the Trump-Russia Scandal

Wednesday, May 10, 2017

Quote of the Day: "This is a very dark and perilous moment."

From Josh Marshall at TPM:
There is only one reasonable conclusion that can be drawn from the decision to fire Comey: that there is grave wrongdoing at the center of the Russia scandal and that it implicates the President. As I write this, I have a difficult time believing that last sentence myself. But sometimes you have to step back from your assumptions and simply look at what the available evidence is telling you. It’s speaking clearly: the only reasonable explanation is that the President has something immense to hide and needs someone in charge of the FBI who he believes is loyal. Like Jeff Sessions. Like Rod Rosenstein.
This is a very dark and perilous moment.

So Comey was Fired for Being Mean to Hillary? Not Because He's Investigating Trump Ties to Russia? Really?

Bits and pieces

FBI Director Richard Comey appears to have perjured himself:     Much of what Comey said about this was inaccurate. Now the FBI is trying to figure out what to do about it.

There is little expectation that Congress or the Trump administration will bring Hatch Act charges against Comey, since his actions directly defeated Clinton and installed Trump, who owes Russians money, in the presidency.

Trump says him being Putin's c**k holster is old news.

So now two things are evident:
President Trump appointed Michael Flynn as National Security Advisor despite being told he was "compromised" by Russia.
President Trump fired Acting US Attorney General Sally Yates for informing him that Flynn was an unregistered foreign agent in order to cover that fact up.
One more thing that is evident after yesterday's Congressional hearings on the Trump Administration's involvement with Russia...Sally Yates has more courage and credibility in her little finger than Donald Trump and his entire entourage.
