What the Scotus Coal Ruling Actually Means

Anton Scalia intentionally falsified the arithmetic in negating the EPA's  standing to regulate mercury emissions from coal fired generating plants under its current regulatory position. The EPA should immediately reformulate the numbers and issue new regulations that essentially do the same thing. Coal is killing people even more quickly than it is killing our planet. Those deaths and many more coal caused illnesses were the basis of the North Carolina Attorney General's law suit against TVA that ultimately forced TVA to install newer more effective pollution controls on Watts Bar and three other coal fired plants in TN.

Eric Wolf at Politico has a very good overview of where we stand at the moment with a conservative dominated Scotus ruling that lives don;t matter as long as there's a profit to be had.
